Kindeng coffee hails from the Waghi Valley in Papua New Guinea’s Western Highlands, where smallholder farmers grow Arusha, Bourbon, and Typica varietals in the region’s rich volcanic soil. Naturally processed at the Kindeng Mill, only the ripest cherries are selected by hand, then slow-dried in the sun over 3 to 4 weeks. This patient, traditional method allows the coffee to develop bold, fruit-driven complexity.
In the cup, expect deep notes of dried tropical fruit and red berries, layered with warm spice and a hint of cocoa. A dense, syrupy body anchors the profile, while subtle florals and a touch of earthiness reflect the wild beauty of the PNG highlands. This rare natural lot captures the rugged terrain and vibrant culture of its origin — a striking and memorable expression of Papua New Guinea’s coffee potential.
