From the highlands of northern Peru, this exceptional microlot comes from Finca El Romerillo, a small farm owned by José Elmer Sánchez in the renowned Chirinos district of Cajamarca.
Grown at 1,700 meters above sea level, this washed Typica lot showcases the unique character of Peruvian specialty coffee: a vibrant, juicy cup with notes of jammy plum, fresh orange, mild cola, and toffee, rounded out by a syrupy sweetness and tangy citric acidity.
José is a member of the Prosperidad de Chirinos cooperative, a group focused on sustainable, organic farming practices. With meticulous processing methods, from selective handpicking to fermentation and sun-drying, he consistently produces high-quality lots that highlight the potential of the region.
This coffee represents more than just excellent craftsmanship, it reflects a commitment to community, sustainability, and the rich biodiversity of the Peruvian Andes.
